The method of adding video into your posts, pages and sidebar is the same as at many other wordpress themes. You will need to have the video already hosted on some video sharing platforms like Vimeo, YouTube, DailyMotion, MetaCafe and you will need to get the "embed code" of the video. The DirtyFolio Theme is widgets ready and you can use the "Text" widget to add video in sidebar. Simply navigate to "Appearance" and click "Widgets". Drag and drop the "Text" widget into the sidebar. Enter a Title for the video (if you need to) and then paste the embed code into the text area box.

The recommended dimensions for video in sidebar is 310x225 px. You can however use different height for the video, but the width cannot exceed 310 pixels.

Adding video in pages and posts.

To add video to posts or pages is simple, all you need is the video "embed code". Copy the embed code of the video and paste it into your post or page using the HTML Mode of the post/page editor. Here you are not limited to any specific dimensions, you will probably want to use the embed code without editing the dimensions.
